Our Story
WORN BY PEOPLE WHO BUILT THIS WORLD
In 2005, Darbie Layos arrived in Canada as a Filipino immigrant, from Cebu, Philippines. For more than 15 years, he worked as a janitor in Canada, cleaning offices, clinics, daycare centres, restaurants, malls, gyms, homes and many others like garbage and junk removal.
Even in the freezing Canadian winter, Darbie went door to door most days — wearing a ‘Superhero Cape,’ dropping flyers just to find customers.
Eventually, he launched his own janitorial business.
As the work grew, he didn’t build alone. Darbie brought families and friends from the Philippines to Canada—to help with the work and to create opportunities rooted in the values that shaped him: hard work and never letting go of a dream.
That dream?
