OUR STORY

In 2005, Darbie Layos arrived in Canada as a Filipino immigrant — and for over 15 years, he worked as a janitor, cleaning offices, clinics, restaurants, malls, and homes.

Before that, he was a seaman who worked on cruise ships, taking on one of the world’s dirtiest jobs: cleaning inside septic toilet tanks. It was tough and hard work, but it built the kind of strength no classroom could ever teach.

Even in the freezing Canadian winter, Darbie went door to door every day, wearing a superhero cape, looking for customers.

Eventually, he launched his own janitorial business, leading a team with the values that shaped him:
Hard work. Sacrifice. And never letting go of a dream.

That dream? Not just to build a shoe brand — but to build a movement:

For immigrants — those who leave everything behind to build something greater. 

For janitors — the unrecognized heroes who keep the world moving.
